Video Review of Durham Ranch
Welcome to the Jerky Wrangler! We’re enjoying a beautiful day out here in Crystal Cove. Above my shoulder, in the distance, you can see the bungalows. People lived in them for many years. It’s now owned by the state, and you can actually rent them. So it’s really an amazing place. And about thirty miles south of here is Catalina Island. On the island, they actually have a herd of buffalo that’s been there for many decades. They just roam wild out there. It’s really awesome!
So, I thought this would be a nice pace to review the Durham Ranch Buffalo, or Bison, Jerky. That’s really how you would properly say it; it’s American Bison. By law, they cannot use antibiotics, steroids, artificial ingredients, and has no added hormones or preservatives, because it’s American Bison. So we’re going to give this a try, and we’ll see how it is.
Now, the predominant flavor I taste is the soy sauce they use. It’s not overpowering, though. I can still taste the nice pepper, with the granules of pepper on there. It tastes really good. Also I taste the Worcestershire sauce, there’s a little bit of that pineapple juice, brown sugar, and they even use garlic and white pepper. There are a lot of complex flavors going on here that all compliment the Bison. This is a really good jerky.
So, Durham Ranch, you guys get a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. I would go to a 10 if soy weren’t the main ingredient, just because a lot of people use it. That’s why. But, if you like soy, this is easily a 10 for you. So, I’m going to give a 9, for Bison Jerky by Durham Ranch.
