Enjoy Brand Jerky Review
Video Review of Enjoy Beef Jerky
Welcome to the Jerky Wrangler! We have beautiful Mount Baden-Powell behind us, and we’re enjoying a beautiful day in the mountains here. Today we’re going to review Enjoy brand beef jerky. This is their old fashioned peppered variety. What’s good about Enjoy jerky is that they don’t use nitrates; there are no MSG’s or sodium nitrate in this jerky.
Here I have a piece of the jerky, and you’ll notice this is a dry jerky. It’s drier than some of your average jerky, and it’s dry enough that it’s not going to leave a residue on your hands, which is good if you’re driving or doing something. It does rip pretty easily, and that gives you an idea of the type of meat they used. So let’s go ahead and give this jerky a try.
Now because it’s a drier jerky, so you are going to have to kind of chew it a little bit and let your saliva soak it up and make it a little softer. This is, again, just a style that can be a person’s preference, so maybe you don’t like a particularly dry jerky and you want it to be more tender. That’s all about the style and your preference. But this is a good jerky. It has good beef flavor, you can taste the hints of soy sauce in it, and you have that pepper going on. There are some other ingredients in it too. I can taste some of the sweetness with the brown sugar and a little bit of that hickory smoke flavoring.
This is a good jerky. It is drier than your normal jerky, so if you’re not really into a dry jerky or if you might not want to chew too much, it might not be for you. But this is good. I would give Enjoy old-fashioned peppered jerky a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. So remember, when you hit the trail and you hit the road, bring along some jerky.
